South Dakota Pheasant Hunting

Wingshooting on the Dakota Prairie

“Every flush is a sporting challenge!”

The hunting service is operated by PINE SHADOWS. For nearly 30 years the Haglins have been guiding groups of hunters in pursuit of Minnesota ruffed grouse, North Dakota waterfowl, and South Dakota pheasants.

Four wheel drive buses  safely transport hunters, gear, guides, and dogs to all areas of the ranch. Creature comforts are not forgotten. Your guides bring along a field lunch and plenty of snacks, soda, bottled water and hot coffee as needed.

You will hunt in the traditional upland manner, slowly moving through the coverts of corn, grass, shelter belts and marsh hay. The Pine Shadows springers will find, flush, and retrieve ringnecks for you. Blockers will keep the running birds in the cover until the drive is nearly complete.

The end-of-the-field final flush excites all!
