The litter from Reacher and Diesel will be a first time
combination; however, the expectation from these pups is very good. The
combination of a solid retrieving instinct from Diesel with the alertness and energy level from Reacher should
produce some good bird finding pups who can use
their noses. The size will vary in the dogs because of the smaller statue in Reacher and
the larger body structure in Diesel.
This litter will produce black and white pups as well as liver and white. We
are combing the smooth gate of Diesel
into the solid form and structure of Reacher to produce pups that will be solid house
companions as well as good all-around gun dogs for the family. |

Reacher
is a liver and white female. She weighs about 38 pounds. Reacher is a
solid well proportioned female with a strong body
structure. She is easy to control in the field,
hunts close and retrieves well to hand.
She is an intelligent dog, figuring out the training process and the
drills very quickly. She is alert and exciting to be around. |

Diesel is a larger black and white male
with a smooth gate and solid body structure. He has a very strong nose, runs
hard in the field and is an excellent retriever. He is being run in the field
trials by Morgan in the open stake and by his owner in the amateur stake. Diesel is a dog we have selected to
bring into our Pine Shadows lines because of his temperament, ease of
training and his solid work ethic when he sets up for training. He is a
gentleman around the house and a solid hunting companion when in the field.
We look forward to working with his off spring and have paired him with two
of our females that we feel have the correct genetic makeup and personality
to enhance both dogs. |
