An excellent opportunity for women to learn about
hunting upland birds and the prairie they occupy. The workshop includes
education on prairie habitat, bird dogs, shotgun skills, Dakota art, and
two pheasant hunts. Each of the programs involves hands-on activities lead
by enthusiastic, experienced, and certified instructors in a highly
supportive atmosphere.
The weekend features a complete Companion Program
for Spouses. Together you and your spouse can eat, sleep, and enjoy the
entertainment. But workshop classes are exclusive for the women. The
men will be kept busy involved in their own shooting, tours, and
hunts. Everything will get started
around 4:30 pm on Friday.
Thrill to the sights and sounds of the prairie and
enjoy the creature comforts of one of the finest wingshooting lodges in the
country.
Workshop tuition includes lodging, meals, guiding,
dogs and handlers, ammunition, targets, and materials. Each hunter must
have a current South Dakota small game license ($114 for non-resident) or
hunting preserve license ($65). Tuition for participants is $995 per
person.
