“Good Morning, PINE SHADOWS,
this is Terri. How may I help you?”
Terri
joined Pine Shadows
in 2007 and brings a quick wit which keeps the staff chuckling and the dogs
happy. She works the front desk, walks the dogs, plays with the puppies and
is our go-to person for fixing the little things that break down in
the building. Another canine enthusiast, she has Brandy, a Golden Retriever
and Zell, a Pine Shadows
Springer. All three enjoy grouse, pheasant, and waterfowl hunting.
|
Norma started with Pine Shadows nearly 15 years ago. She is
the “cat lady” at the kennels. Her interest and training is extensive in cat
behavior and care. Norma has a big heart taking in rescue animals; her most
recent dogs were a pair of greyhounds. Norma is also a certified pet massage
therapist. She begins an imprinting and massage program with every one of the
Pine
Shadows puppies on their 10th day of life. This accounts for
the ease of handling you will notice when you take a Pine Shadows puppy into your arms.

With over
ten years of experience Jill is a valued staff member. You will find her
answering the phone, making an appointment, walking your dog, cleaning a
kennel and training puppies out in the field - all in the same
day. When she gets home she has the chores of running a horse ranch with her
husband.
|
The
quiet soft voice of Trista answering your calls carries over to the care and
concern she has for your pets when you bring them to Pine
Shadows. Trista has been with Pine
Shadows since high school and fills the role of
front desk person, dog walker and cleaning lady! She keeps all the
puppy packets updated and sends out the many puppy inquiries we receive
on a timely basis.

Our
dog groomer at Pine Shadows for over 15 years, Dawn has
earned an outstanding reputation. Her success might be measured by the amount
of lead time necessary to book an appointment. Dawn knows all the canine breeds. You may
be greeted by her springer, Pistol, when you come into the front room at the
kennel. Dawn barrel races almost every weekend with her horse, Raz.

Upon
meeting Marcie you will immediately sense the caring and fondness she has for
your pet. While at the front desk she is handling task scheduling and
activity tracking. In addition to
handling the reception area with her pleasant personality you will also find
her filling in on afternoon dog walking shifts and working with the morning
crew.

You might catch Joan
on the phone with a question about your new puppy’s behaviors. But then she’s
off to put new straw in the maternity run and walk a dog. After lunch
she will be in the field giving individual training to one of the many young
springers. When you come out to run your dog, Joan may be shooting the wing
gun. And she would be happy to show you around the kennels anytime. Here she
is with one of her babies, Merlin.

Morgan is our head trainer. It
is his goal to bring the best out of each dog he works with. And judging from
the amount of time he is in conversations with owners either on-site or by
telephone, he is attempting to bring out the best in relationships between
dog and owner. During spring and fall, Morgan has a traveling schedule to
field trials at which he handles dogs. He is also in demand from springer
clubs to judge their trials or gun for them. In the fall his work is focused
on almost entirely on hunting.
